Today the interest in Apartments is off the scale. Homebuyers,and tenants and property investors are hot on this market and it’s not hard to work out why.
Auckland has been going through quite a transformation in recent years. The realisation that it’s a city growing very quickly and as a result housing and infrastructure needs to catch up. Developers’ early apartments were a far cry from success – they became known as “shoeboxes”.
New Zealanders weren’t interested in living in these minute spaces even though living close to work and amenities was attractive . Fast forward to today and the Apartments are more than satisfactory. The quality of the fixtures and fittings, the overall size and use of space is a vast improvement on the earlier models.
Now Apartments (in Auckland particularly) are highly sought after.
